Our Symmetrical Line of canoes boast designs which provide equal friction across the entire wet surface, providing excellent initial stability to the user. This also contributes to the seaworthiness of the canoe. Such stability enhances your safety when carrying small children or pets, which are prone to movement in the canoe. Prospector 15'

This canoe's already playful nature permits larger loads for medium length tripping excursions in all weather. An additional flared edge or spray rail significantly improves its seaworthiness, shedding more water than any comparable model. The traditional shallow arch, which is blended with a slight V-Hulled design provides exceptional initial and final stability, as well as extreme tracking qualities that are not usually typical of shorter symmetrical canoes. The moderate rocker also allows for nimble movement and pivoting when the need arises. The "15" can be enjoyed by paddlers at all experience levels. This boat lends itself well to both solo paddlers and short duration tandem trippers alike.

Prospector 16'6"

70 years in the making, the Langford 16.6 Prospector is the ultimate symmetrical canoe. Paddled solo or tandem the performance of this modernized traditional design is the envy of all. The efficiency, exceptional maneuverability, and tracking especially while loaded is simply unsurpassed. The Langford Prospector offers safety and responsiveness no other canoe can, thanks to the specific curvatures and shapes found in her hull. Our Prospectors are the fastest and most stable canoes baring the "Prospector" name. The Langford Prospectors are able to out pace most asymmetrically hulls (especially when loaded) and there is no safer choice for the avid tripper especially when children or pets are part of the equation. With the Spray Rail integrated into the hull itself (increasing safety) as well as the swept gunwale the 16.6 Prospector is the driest and safest 16 footer on the market. Prospector 17'4"

The Ultimate Tripping Canoe! Extremely Fast, Sleek, & Stable. The exceptional tracking, coupled with a huge cargo capacity and interior roominess is what makes our 17.4 the choice of both families and serious long-duration trippers. Extreme stability, and maneuverability means this impressive craft is also the only choice for the wise paddler who is being accompanied by pets or children. Loaded or not this model is so versatile that it can be greatly enjoyed as a recreational canoe or in it's more serious big boat tripping role! A wonderful canoe you have to paddle to really appreciate. In any weather conditions the Prospector 17.4 is a competent performer leaving behind all others. Due to its large swept ends, immense depth, volume, and pronounced spray rail there is simply not a safer, big hauler on the water. As with its 16' 6" sister the 17'4" is a highly evolved design, (arrived at through years of building experience) a design that justifies the great expectations that one would have for a canoe of this caliber. Like it's cedar sisters the Prospector 17.4 has been refined to the point of perfection through close to 70 years of manufacture. Tripper 16'

The Langford 16 foot Tripper offers the best value on the market place today. This entry level canoe comes in at astounding 52 pounds. Through and through this canoe has the excellent quality of manufacture one would expect to see in a Langford. The Tripper is sold standard with the following; Heavy gauge proper fitting two piece gunwales, Solid White-Ash interior components and Stainless Steel Hardware The Tripper hull is symmetrical and most importantly includes the same Safety Spray Rail system we use in the Prospector and Nahanni model canoes. This hull also makes has a HDU (High Density Urethane) Rib System. The tripper is a nimble craft able to conquer serious water. If you are looking for an affordable but properly built Kevlar canoe sold at a reasonable weight there is no other alternative.
